The Salvation Story

The Good News

The Problem

Rom 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Everyone has broken God's moral laws like lying, stealing, and taking God's name in vain. We have all fallen short and missed the mark of God's standard of goodness.

The Predicament

Rom 4:4  Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
God is loving but He is also good and there must be a punishment for our wrong doing. God is a perfect and righteous judge and we will all stand before Him on judgement day.

The Penalty

Rom 5:12  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death;

Because you and I broke God's laws, the Bible says we have earned death. We are being paid in death for our sins. As a judge would declare the death sentence to a heinous criminal.

The Provision

Rom 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

You and I broke God's laws but here's the good news - Jesus paid the fine!

That's what He was doing on that cross.

The Pardon

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Even though you are guilty God can legally dismiss your case because of what Jesus did on that cross.

Christ paid your debt in full!

The Process

Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Pray and ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior. Do not trust in your own goodness but fully on Christ!
